Kickass Kid of the Day: A 12-year-old from Atlanta who attended a crime-fighting program run by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office used the knowledge she gained to show up police who were investigating a burglary at the home of her late great-grandmother.

Jessica Maple was able to locate the burglars point of entry using fingerprints Fitzgerald Police Department officers missed. She also located stolen items at a nearby thrift store.

“We called the police station,” Jessica told Channel 2 Action News, “and the guy, the investigator, he was like, ‘Oh my gosh, how’d you find all the stuff here? I was coming here.’ And I was like, ‘I did your job again’.”

The police were able to track down two suspects using ID photocopies attached to the store’s paperwork.
